The first two months in a nutshell

Obviously, I spent time with my family and friends. Not as much as I wanted, though, because I moved to Nuremberg, which is 150 miles from where I used to live.

I found a job as an in-house translator.

I’ve added words such as “cardiovascular”, “caudocranial” and “magnetoencephalography” to my active vocabulary because the company I’m working for does technical documentation for medical devices and software.

I found a dance school near my workplace where I continue with ballet classes.

AND…

I’ve moved in with Ingo! After seeing each other only once every two or three months for the last two years, we’ve been coping quite well with seeing each other every day since I moved in. Despite grumpiness in the morning and hair blocking the plugholes (my fault, as you can guess) or cluttering the kitchen with stuff we don’t need and general geekiness (on Ingo’s part), most of the time we enjoy living together very much.

We’ve started turning what has been Ingo’s flat for four years already into our flat. This involved buying a large shoe rack, a second wardrobe and a second bedside cabinet, but also a lot of paint. We’ve started our redecoration project in the bedroom (We’ll do the other rooms to once we’ve got time. But it doesn’t look like this is going to happen soon.). Here are a few “before and after” pics. I hope you can tell which ones were taken before and which ones after redecorating!
